Ethically-Informed Physical Medicine

When someone asks me what I do as a physical therapist, I always say this: I can help you overcome anything that is physically preventing you from living your best life. My practice is built on transparency and trust: I will not bullshit you, I will listen to your story, I will take your entire being into account when building your program: no cookie cutter treatments here.

I know that overcoming an injury or any physical ailment can be frustrating and confusing. You often feel alone, given very little answers and even crappier "solutions." One thing I pride myself on is that once you sign on as a client, you're stuck with me. You can email, text, or call with any questions or concerns you have and I will get back to you in a timely way: this is because I refuse to build a schedule where I am seeing upwards of 20-30 people a day like I experienced in corporate healthcare. Your progress is important to me, and I want you to feel like you have someone in your corner who listens, empathizes, and works with you towards achieving your goals. No one slips through the cracks at NQPT!

There are two areas in which I specialize:

Orthopedics

This generally includes issues relating to joint, neck, and back pain, or overall deconditioning of the body. Common issues I see include:

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Joint pain treatment (knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, back, neck...and everything in between!)

  • Post surgical

  • Disc herniation

  • "Pinched nerve"

  • General deconditioning due to lupus, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

This comprises all ailments concerning the female pelvic floor (sorry guys, I'm not trained in male pelvic health...YET). If you're not sure what the pelvic floor is, you need to check out my free ebook here.

Common issues that I can help with include:

  • Pain with sex

  • Pelvic pain

  • Urinary Incontinence

  • Constipation

  • Pelvic floor weakness/post partum concerns

  • Organ prolapse

  • Return to exercise post partum

I know navigating your fitness is confusing AF: garbage at-home workouts that are either too hard or too easy, not sure what to do in the gym, not sure what to do at home, not sure how to reach your goals. And especially if you want to start learning how to use weights but were never taught, your brain is like 🤯.

Fitness doesn't have to be a balls-to-the wall torture session; in fact, this rhetoric that's been pounded into our brains by Fitspos and wellness "gurus" has conditioned us to think we need to despise working out, otherwise it isn't working for us.

That's not how it works.

Exercise is one of the best things you can do for yourself. The key is finding a program that fits YOUR goals, YOUR schedule, and YOUR needs. One of the major reasons why you're likely to quit a workout program is because none of those things are ever catered to YOU.

Enter Fit & Fearless: a program that doesn't focus on external results, but rather, helps you find actual joy in working your body.

What it is: a monthly program designed for you and only you. No weighing, no before and after photos, no shame, no guilt.

Who it's for: people who are tired of being judged by their pants size or the number on the scale and actually want to get fit for the sake of their longevity, resilience, and ability to enjoy activities with their families for decades to come.

Who should probably pass: people who judge exercise effectiveness on what they look like, what size they're wearing, or the number on the scale. I do not use weightloss or before and afters as measurements of success.

What you get:

  • A monthly virtual session where we chat about your goals, your progress, and set future goals together. I will also conduct a movement screen to see where your starting point is and how we can get you to your end results

  • A month worth of programming that fits your schedule, using equipment that you have access to

  • Weekly check-ins with me to make sure we are headed down the right path

  • Support and form checks via the True Coach app (free)
